I really didn't do much... Created a Bubble map, jotted down some names; cloned some and came to a conclusion - well, for Setsou Design, any way. I am using both Japanese and English. Setsou is Japanese and Design is, well, English. Coming out to mean Creative Design. After all, our catchy slogan is "Our Creative Little World." Then for Bird is the Word, well, if you know Family Guy, the Bird is the Word episode is quite known. So we figured using that in the domain name, people will easily recognize that. Plus, we the .tv domain extension.
Tom, the name of your design forum is actually very unique. I like it a lot. I never would have guessed that Setsou is Japanese or that it actually means something.
That's how I originally pronounced it, as well - I then presented the name to my Dad (who speaks Japanese fluently - used for foreign business) and he correctly said it. It was an "ah ha!" moment.
 I see, I see... After coming up with that name, I just knew my community would have a great turn out. What's better than having an English-Japanese name mix...
"Bird is the Word" is yet another fantastic name (that causes me to laugh whenever I see it in your signature).
Oh, glad to hear. I hope to see ya around... We're pretty active, plentiful posts and forums to accommodate users.
My forum name is Torchbugs.com We are a community glass and jewelry artists so we all work with torches. Bugs are attracted to the flame, (ask me how I know this) and so are we. So, Torchbugs is what we are. Plus it gave us something original to create our own emoticons from. We don't have smilies... we have Buglies.
That is very original indeed. I love how you came up with the name and your bug-type theme throughout the forum to match.
Thank you both. It's my first forum and one of my moderators designed the logo and buglies and we love them. I think I got lucky and have the bestest and most creative moderators Ever! But I'm biased. Tempermental though they/we may be, we all clash quite nicely. Can my forum admins register to this forum as well? Or is it only for forum owners? I think they could benefit from the info here too.
