I slacked off on posting and such.

I usually try to refer at least 2 people a week, only got one this past week.

 

I haven't even made it on the list

I can't get anyone to sign up

 

Purchase a premium membership when you can, or donate.

 

It would be a mistake to think I've beaten him yet

 

That alone won't get members very far.

MomCafe, it's kind-of hard now to get high up on the list rather quickly. The members who are in the top have posted replies in almost every single thread, and they continue ongoing discussions. They also create many new threads.

It's not that easy, I'm afraid. :o

 

Give it your all, MomCafe. That's all that matters.

 

I try. I just don't want to go and post fluff and also want to make the posts be worth it to read ya know?
Heck if it was not for Soliloquy I would not have found this place.

 

May I suggest some more prizes for places below third? Doesn't have to be expensive, maybe just Premium Membership or something.

We are currently planning another contest for right after this one, but with different prizes. Something more personal and useful like a hefty Amazon gift card or something. We are actually considering starting a thread and letting the members' imaginations run wild. If we know what you guys want the most, we can then put on a better contest.

Yeah, we get disappointed seeing ten new registrations per day where they all make 10 posts and never come back.
But the new members that actually stick around really encourage us. We love new members.

 

A BIG box of nutella would be a GREAT prize, be sure as hell I'd win that.

OR!!! That 5,000 Grams of nutella.

 

You could also add a book about forum management, or links from AA's index page.

As for major prizes for the next contest, I would totally go for a SEO makeover or x hours of custom coding as suggested elsewhere here.

 

Do you mean something like we let you hire whatever coder you choose, but we just foot the bill? That sounds do-able.
