So do you place the nsfw tags around the image tags or in place of the image tags them selves?

around the image tags, although the code could be easily modified to replace the img tags.

That's a pretty good idea, not something I had thought of. Might need to do some modifying.

The NSFW bbcode is a good idea. But if a site has an entire section for objectionable content, then it really isn't necessary.

Didn't know you guys would be so interested :P

here's the html if you want it.

    HTML:
    <small><b>NSFW</b></small><br /> <div style="border: 1px dashed gray; padding: 1px;"><div class="quotetitle"><input value="Click to Show" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; width: 85px; font-size: 10px; font-weight: bold;" onclick="if (this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display != '') { this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display = '';        this.innerText = ''; this.value = 'Click to Hide'; } else { this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display = 'none'; this.innerText = ''; this.value = 'Click to Show'; }" type="button"></div><div class="quotecontent"><div style="display: none;">{param}</div></div></div></br>

That is what I was thinking, maybe in the future set up some type of membership that includes a private member only section.

As long as it covers the butt, chest and privates, I'm ok with it. Solid, but anything that suggest sexual intention like skintight clothing, then no, you can't post that either.

I usually right click and then save image

No nudity is allowed on my forums. Its supposed to be a family based forum that my 13 year old daughter can visit - and she does.

But, my kids are also taught that there is nothing wrong with sex or their bodies. Human sexuality is a natural thing, I just dont want it posted on my site. If you want to see nudity, I'll give you some good sites to go to. Just not on my site.

On most of my sites I keep it about PG-13, however on my science forum the rules say discussion of such things (genitalia, etc.) is ok as long as it's scientific or medical in nature. Not sure what I'd do if anyone started posting pictures though; guess I'd have to decide on a case-by-case basis.

Pornography (like spam) is tough to define but you know it when you see it. The problem with setting standard like pg13 is there will always be people asking for the exact definition of what that means so they can bump up against that limit. Then there has to be much time spent on deciding if it is ok. The ones that are not ok might get infractions, then they like to talk about that.

I like the 'is it ok for a child' approach, but what I've told people is 'nothing suggestive' at all. Occasionally someone posts pictures of their kids/wife in a swim suit and I consider that very different than a random internet picture.

I permit nudity in the art section and some stuff that is pretty close to the border in some anime threads. In the art section, the user must put a warning in the topic title if the drawings contain nudity, though.

Everywhere else on the public forum, pornography is pretty much a no-no.

Well, my provider has a clause in their ToS that forbids pornography, so I'm required to uphold it...that said, I base my action on whether or not there was nudity, and the intent of the post...if it's just inappropriate, and an honest mistake, I'll delete the post and issue a warning...if it's being spammed, I'll issue a perma-ban...and if there's nudity, I'll issue a temp ban...

on the two forums where members are mostly 13-18, no suggestive pictures are allowed or anything where genitals, breasts and bottoms are visible. also anything that describes sex or anything in a graphic way isnt allowed. we dont want the younger members to see anything like that.

on the forum where members have to be 16+ the same rules also apply in the areas of the forum that the members under 18 can view, although rude jokes are allowed and some swear words too. we have two sections for over 18's, one for men and one for women. although most of the discussion is on things that members wouldnt talk about in front of the opposite sex, some stuff that is suggestive is allowed, althougb porn isnt allowed with our forum hosts terms of service, so genitals and breasts are still not allowed to be shown. also with all threads containing pictures, the content of the pictures must be mentioned in the title, for those who are at work, college or have young children around.

I have a section on my site that is by request only. Most memebers don't know it even exists on my site until they have been around for a while. Then if they want access, they have to pm me, and by then i know the age of the person.
