ImageReady is now available in Photoshop, which I like. :)

Oddly enough I learned everything I know by using Photoshop Elements 5 (which is only for doing minor touch ups to photos, but I somehow surpassed that). Been using CS4 lately, I hated it at first, but love it now.

I don't understand this thing about "learning curve" I picked that bad boy up in a day.

Lol no no, didn't mean that :P

I'll admit, I browsed a few tutorials, but it was just a solid day of trial and error and tinkering. You pretty much have to open up a giant blank canvas, and just go to town, click and use anything in site.

    I have CS4 across my Mac's.

I love it, I only make little things though.

Once you learn one thing, you will forever remember it. Exploration is key with Photoshop, however, tutorials will help a newbie to the software out immensely.

PhotoImpact X3 and older versions do support psd files ;)

Yes Sir - PhotoImpact is a very nice program IMO and it does indeed work very well with psd files.

Adobe abandoned imageready and removed it from cs3 onwards. The solution to imageready is fireworks and unless you want to switch back to cs2 (which I did) this is the latest version of photoshop with imageready included.

Ah, so the animation window isn't in CS4? I'm happy with CS3, I think I could use it for a few years before upgrading.

Regardless of the fact that I have absolutely no idea how to use it, I have CS4 installed as well.

I have CS3 and haven't got a clue how to do anything with it (unless I'm following a tutorial in layman's terms :p).

Funny how some of us here have this software installed and configured, yet have no idea as to how it works. :D
