Hmm....your last sentence makes me believe you actually don't understand. Don't you think the reasons for IB's poor reputation could also have been the exact same reasons for vB5 being poor? Scott
"Share custom dashboards" should not be the thread that appeared on http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/. It should be this thread; http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...9743-this-site-is-still-unbearably-slow/page9 Because it contains the latest post.
Why would a company with the resources as Internet Brands use a affiliate link in a email to its customers. The first thing that comes into your mind is that vBulletin is not as profitable as it was in the old days and they need to raise the profit margin of the vBulletin section. That can also explain why there is so much down scaling by reassigning people internally and firing people. The real rant, well it is but that does not make the complaint any less important. It true that the person could bring it differently but that does not mean what he/she is saying is not true. The company should take note of it and react to complaints but it seems at vBulletin that its always the customers fault if they have issues with vBulletin 5. A good manager would have been talking to its customers and try to plan so that complaints will be fixed asap but there is no manager in sight its like he does not work on vBulletin or have no clue what to do or how to fix the issues.
I didnt call you any names. There was however a typo in my post that probably made it seem that way (you/your). Corrected now.
But that's not what I asked. I asked, did you see the same as me or something else? If something else, what is it that you see?
Oh yes I see the same as you in vbulletin official forum but that doesn't mean it should happen to every other forums. Do you even have test site? In some case it does not count as vb5 error but server-side error.
What was you trying to imply? Need I confirm that's a bug so that you can tell the world or something? So you install vb5, you see a bug that may be created by yourself, then you inssist it is a software bug? Like I said that I didn't face it, that's all.
The whole point is whether it is a stable product or not. Thus my question that whether it is a bug or server side issue. If you did not face the issue but others do, is that a proof of stability or instability?
Any truth to the rumor that the vBulletin 5 developers have been cut down to 4 (or less) full time/part time vB developers?
Well i know that one or two where transfered out of the vBulletin development and into the general IB development. It would not surprise me if vBulletin development will slow down.
According to Paul, there are 4 sometimes 5, when Kevin isn't doing management stuff. Source: http://adminextra.com/threads/when-can-we-expect-a-cms-for-vb5.6569/#post-59353 Scott
If there are four or five, how 'Full time" are they. Are they pulled off to do other work when more problems arise?
