If you have content (anime and or manga), then that's enough to draw in the crowd.
You just need to improve on SEO and promotion.

If you rely only on forum, then you need a theme with lots of blings.
Shiny, colorful, contrasting colors, lots of add ons that gives rewards via posting, etc.

 

Rewards could do. I've not enjoyed promoting. The site does have a Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, and some other stuff.

I think the layout has contrast. A lot of shades and colors not often put together.

Anime and manga content I'm assuming you mean scanlations and downloads?

You also need to revamp your dark theme.

I only didn't agree with the default theme and you became butthurt.

 

The theme of this website is pretty awful, no offence it's pretty good, and quite nice for blogging/sharing opinions and what not, but It somehow doesn't catch the eye, if you know what I mean?

Or maybe, it just need some more design improvements.

 

Something specific would make it easier to change things up, but thanks.
