Thanks for sharing this. I downloaded the ebook to see what was it about and there they are: 247 ways of driving traffic. I'll find time to analize better this ebook and see what ways I can put to work.

 

Everyone should note that this is a 4 year old PDF, there are some good suggestions here but many are outdated and I wouldn't suggest it.

So very right. The book cannot be used in complete adherence. You would have to use your brains to identify what is relevant today... sometimes, Google is your best friend...

Q for the OP:

Why did your friend stop the work after publishing this in 2009? I would have kept on editing this over the years to keep it update and relevant...

I've found a few interesting, but some were kind of ridiculous, like getting somebody to tattoo your url on their face.

 

Hmmmm..........really old stuff. I wonder if it's worth downloading. But it's only 68 kb. Won't hurt to download this tiny thing.

 

Even though this may be old I'm going to have a look through to see if I can find some hidden gem ideas that I could elvolve into 2013 standards.

Out of 200+ ideas there's gota be one good one still useable right? Lol

 

I used perused the whole book. I would say that it's definitely worth a look despite it's age.

 

It's worth a look. Many different ways to get traffic and I thank you for sharing. How we implement it will determine how much traffic that we get. It may be outdated, but we will have to be creative in order to get the most benefit out of it.

 

There are more than sufficient ways for getting traffic to the website.

Really? Wondering if the author tried this method tattooing himself to have the certainty that someone else will do it for you.

Actually rules to drive traffic are changing very quickly, so it's certainly useful googling for some of the newest tricks.

 

Eh. I read it and most of it is either bunk or only applicable to either super niche or super local stuff.

 

I don't know how long you have been on the internet for, but a few years ago this was a rather popular way of earning people money, they would auction themselves off on sites like Ebay, there are quite a few people walking around with company logos and URLS on their body.

The same thing happened with baby names as well, people would auction the name of their babies, imagine if there was a child walking around called Esso or Tesco!

 

If it was highly relevant, it wouldn't be given away for free.

That's a lot of ways and that book is indeed very helpful! Social media is a powerful way to get traffic though. I used to disregard it but I was wrong. So right now, I'm actually focusing on it because it totally works.

 

I've had good results with projectwonderful. Very low maintenance and you can set up to only advertise on certain sites.
