Hi there

For reasons that I really cannot fathom, I've never registered here but I often browse Anyway, I'm now registered so here's a little bit about me.

I've been building websites and running forums on a variety of platforms for well over 10 years. It's currently my primary source of income. Many of the forums I administrate are corporate but I also maintain a few hobbyist sites.

For years I ran all my forums including the corporates on vBulletin and at one time I had a portfolio of well over 20 forums running on that platform. In recent years I've become very disillusioned with vBulletin so I've migrated all but one forum onto various other platforms including XenForo and SMF. For anyone wondering, I really do consider SMF to be a product more suited to my needs and the needs of my customers than vBulletin! Skills wise I'm very much a Jack of all trades, master of not very much at all but I seem to get by.

To conclude (and the crowd went wild ) I must say I've already grown rather fond of this site. I love the theme and small things like the account setup notice is a really nice touch

 

Although I cannot pronounce your name zappaDPJ, Welcome. I do like your name and avatar, both original.

Good to see another techy guy join, as noobs like me need all the help we can get.
