We'll be starting a 3 month posting contest soon!

Hello Everyone,

We’re going to start a 3 month posting contest soon. There are a few options with the script we use, but in general it will be the user with the most quality post by 3 months, will win the grand prize. There will also be a nice 2nd and 3rd place prize for the runners up.

I have a few sponsors who are interested and I have a few more to contact, but in the past for my admin sites I’ve been able to give away several hundred dollars in prizes. Some of the prizes will includes but not limited to; premium styles, premium scripts, backlinks, seo work, amazon gift cards, and then we could offer hosting and a domain for a year for those who don’t have a site setup yet.

Anyways, we’ll have this contest up and running as soon as possible, I’m shooting for July 1st if I can get the sponsors lined up in time. (which shouldn’t be a problem)

I’m open to ideas on the contest, I’ve ran several very successful posting contest on my old admin site, as well as my General Forum, so I’m really looking forward to Admin Talk’s first (long overdue) posting contest!

I've confirmed one of our sponsors, they have some xenforo mods but they also do custom work as well so it wouldn't have to be tied to one particular framework.

We're just working out the details right now, as soon as that's nailed down I'll post a link to their services page so people can start to get an idea of what work they would want done, if they win

I'm really glad to see that you're offering more than one style of prize. I see domains being given away so often, but frankly, I already have too many anyway and don't want any more right now, so I end up not even trying to win those.

 

I've just secured another sponsor that will really be good for users across all scripts.
It's with www.postloop.com, we'll have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
I haven't figured out the exact breakdown but it's going to be over 2,000 postloop points that can be used to build post to your forum or blog!

This looks like an interesting friendly (I hope) competition. I am interested in taking part; are the post automatically monitored when the contest starts?

 

I'll have to check over the mods again, I'm not sure ATM.
The plugins I've used in the past have always been visible from the admin side only.
I like being able to post monthly updates, keeping everyone in suspense

Ya I was really happy when Ryan at PostLoop agreed to the contest
It really broadens the rage of users who would be interested in a contest.

I'm planning on talking to a few style guys, vb/ipb/xf and mybb to see if anyone wants to donated a style
Also a few other programers if possible, then we can always have a "hosting for a year" or "free domain" type thing too.

I'm not really going to push a free script license, I've had them before for vb, vbseo and ipb but they didn't create the buzz I was after.. who knows, still a few weeks to plan

 

Yup. Haven't used postloop in a while, but spent around $180 there between Dec/Jan and got a decent amount of posts for my money; most were pretty decent quality also

 

I am on the other side of PL and am enjoying the wide range of forums and topics. I have learned many things in the few weeks I have been a member and will do my best to continue to provide quality posts on the forums. Being on the earning side will eventually put me on the spending side when the time comes.
