What have you done for April Fool's?

    April fool's day is a great way to enforce your brand and build traffic to your websites.
    What did you do this year, or what have you done in the past?
    What are you thinking for next year?

    Id' really like to borrow our biggest competitors logo and throw it up, then post an announcement that we've sold out to them but the other webmaster probably wouldn't think I was very funny. :D

    Nothing. It was a Sunday and that's a family day for me. :thumbsup:

    I've done things in the past - last year we made everyone on the site a "Moderator" - we didn't actually give them mod powers, just changed their user title so it said Moderator underneath their avatar. :ROFL:

    Nothing this year because it fail on a Sunday and was busy. But, I have done many things over the years. I once banned everyone on the forum with a query. That wasnt liked so well. I once added a button to click to go to the site and redirected the entire site to the button. When you clicked the button a window popped up with a nice Rick Roll song lol.. I made a bot one year and added code when I released a couple days before April fools that on the day of April fools that when you ran it , it would open up a hidden window with an annoying wav file. And some not so nice stuff with java like flipping screens upside down and even one that constantly opened and closed the cd drive if they had one.. But, now I am old I dont have time for that much.. Always busy :(

    One of my mods said she was quitting, I followed up with a post that said I was going to sell out and move on. Some users were laughing others were ticked off by the joke, but it was pretty funny because I would never sell out.

    Just posted on my forums and worked on something I hope to release in few days. So it was a work day mostly

    They loved it - although some of the more serious members didn't know quite how to react to it!! Once people realised that everyone else wasn't a real moderator they saw the funny side of it. :D

    One year, I said I was closing the forum and then in the body I said "April Fools". Some people knew it was fake but some fell for it haha. I have a big idea for 2013 but I don't want to say it yet :P
