    This is something that I like very much. I run contests every so often and my users love it. A lot of them consists of posting challenges - who can become the top poster of the month and such. It also gets them posting more threads, and replies, which help us grow in the long run. If you haven't ran a contest on your community yet, then I'd recommend you save some money and run one, or get someone to sponsor a contest.
