vBulletin 4.0.4 Style Generator

One of the features that has been requested heavily for vBulletin has been a way in which to make the creation of customer styles much easier.
In 4.0.4 (to be released soon - currently being QA'd), we have such a feature, called the Style Generator.
The feature will enable you to build a custom style for your site in under a minute.

IDK about you but this looks sexy to me :kissed:

 

It's a great little tool. It's not supposed to do everything for you, but basically help you get the general color scheme correct. Then you can add the finishing touches. Carrie and Steve threw together the first version of this and then passed along the idea/code to the dev team to polish up.

 

That's the first thing I noticed. I'm guessing you'll probably have to go in somewhere and manually add it. We should find out in another week or so when they make it available for download.

 

Im not a fan of Vbull but thats kind of cool that is.

 

Has anyone had a chance to use this yet?

My upgrade flopped so I'll be waiting for vb 4.0.5

 

Perhaps they are going to just to 4.1 so no 4.0.5

 

^ according to Adrian there is going to be a 4.0.5 within a few weeks. I believe it will address the hot fix issues caused by 4.0.4.

Have you setup a test board for GF and tried upgrading to vb 4 Brandon?

 

nope, I don't see any issues upgrading this site to 4.0, but I'm not planning on it for a while.
the newsletter is the only thing we'd lose or have to find a replacement for

 

Well to be honest, I know 3.x pretty well and that's the main reason why I haven't jumped to 4.
We well at some point, I just don't have time to mess with it right now :dont-know:

 

You're lucky, I've tried and had a hell of a time trying to style mine. I gave up styling mine for now in the hopes that 4.1 will bring something better.
