Hi another newbie here. I'm a night shift worker and I've been working tons of overtime since New Years and while looking for ways to pass the late night hours I found this place. This seems like a nice forum so I thought I'd sign up and check it out.

I'm really into movies and music. I also like good horror fiction and science fiction a lot.

I'm curious about a feature I've noticed here. I've noticed that as a newbie I am blocked from posting URLs until I get 10 posts. In recent months on forums in general Spam has become really bad. I was curious if this forum has found this feature very effective at curbing spammers. I'm thinking of mentioning it to other people.

Some other forums I help moderate have been really slammed by this problem.

yeah, night shifts are rough, especially when you have to work overtime- I've had to see my b/f go through that when he worked the night shift at his old job.
