OK. Calm. I type. I don't use the mouse. Not very much anywayz. At every forum in the WORLD, and every chat room, and messenger programs, certain smileys have certain shortcuts. Or, you click the smiley in the list and it DISPLAYS the shortcut. Here, I have no idea what to do. It drives me nuts. You click the smiley and it displays the smiley so I have no idea what shortcut gives me that smiley. The shortcuts I use for that smiley EVERYWHERE don't work here. I have to click on the "more" button and look up the shortcut EVERY TIME. is :tongue:. Everywhere. Except here. 8) is . Everywhere except here. :O is etc etc etc. Can we please use standard shortcuts for the most popular smileys? Please?
In the reply box, you see the little button that says "More" right below the sample smileys? Click that, and you'll see ALL of the available smileys, including all of the text codes used for them.
...and if you actually had read my post, you'd see I already referred to that... and that I HATE having to do that every time I want a smiley. I just want to use the codes that are standard everywhere. Except here.
Stone, just use it, we can understand and 8O) and ^_^ ... We are living in the world, where deviation is a norm of rule. Did You notised that all cars in GB are different from standard, I mean steering wheel. You should agree that some 'standard' smilies in GB can be different too Keep it easy - You are not a winner already:nod:
if you turn off the rich text editing, i believe it will insert the code instead of the image when you click 'em. i haven't yet run into two forums where the codes are the same. but there aren't many forums as old as this one, so the rest of them are wrong. :tongue: ( ( : tongue : )
You don't have to do that every time. Just type in the text code of the one you want to use. It's not our fault you can't remember the codes of your frequently used smileys. :tongue: BTW, if you click the more button, it'll give you the text codes of all of the smileys.
