My community dates back to 2004, but the current version of the community has been opened since Jan 21, 2011.

So, how old is your community? A few months old like mine, or?

AdminBB was opened in November 15th, so we are 5 months strong :)

The forum technically was created on December 19, 2010, but I'll refer to its birthday as January 8, 2011, since that's when the first thread was posted and the forum was really open for posting. :)

We are almost 9 months old. So we are three months shy of being a year old.

Cool cool. Most forums dont reach a year, so when you reach a year it will be an achievement :)

Web Goro's current version is a little over a month old. My web hosting forums are 2.5 years old (September 2009)

Yeah, the only forums I know of that have lasted a year or longer is Promotion Source (no longer around), Forum Promotion (3 years old if I remember right) and only a handful of others have made it passed the one year mark. So hopefully we can make it to the one year mark and beyond so that we aren't just a statistic in the future.

The longest forum I've ran was for 10 days LOL. I constantly open, run, terminate after a few days. I hope my upcoming forum will be at LEAST a year. That is my goal!

Don't feel bad, Gamrpro, I used to be the exact same way. Up until now and probably last year, I never had a forum open long enough to where I can so much as request a package for it. But it does feel good to be going nine months strong and still being able to request services when I feel like it and when the time comes, though. Hopefully you'll get to experience how great that feels as well!

My longest forum running was about a year and a half, but I left. It's two year mark is coming up, but it's closing. My current forum has been open for almost nine months. Actually, if I remember correct, my forum's was opened the same day (or a few days a part) from yours, Ashley.

Very nice, just curious what the reason for closing your other one?

Well, I haven't been there for about nine months, so I can't really tell you. It was the choice of the co-admin. I left because of a falling out between the two of us that, unfortunately, couldn't be fixed.

I opened my forum a few hours ago. I'm 100% sure I'll keep it for a few months. In Jan I'll probably sell it or give it away because I won't have time to even visit forums.

Whats the point in starting it if you are just going to end up selling it or leave? O.o

    My last two were:

    2005-2007
    2007-2010

My newest is so young it's not even yet opened. But I'm hoping to stick with this one for well over 5 years, 10...However long as my circumstances allow.
Will be opening soon after my wedding. :D

    ^^^Agreed.

You gotta work hard on it or you cant expect it to go anywhere on its own as the founder/owner is the backbone of a community.
