Tell me about it, and just a FYI, DNS can take anything up to 72 hours to update, as you are not moving hosts, just domain registrars, as long as you get the DNS stuff set back up ASAP once transferred, you shouldn't hit any downtime at all.

I meant the time AdminBB would be unavailble for the domains to update but it would still be down, and thats why I used "Down Time" dosen't always have to be a host term ;)

Well I transferred a load of domains from NetFirms to Namecheap and did not get any downtime at all due to the DNS not having to be changed where I was using nameservers and not A Records, etc.

But if it still was to be down from whether changing domain providers or hosts downtime could still be used is my point.

Simple answer is: Plan it accordingly, then you can't be moaned at for unexpected downtime ;)

Yea I know im just too busy for it right now. I think its better if I switch right before my year is over as I have 6 or 7 months left.

make sure you do it 60 days (about 3 months) before the domain expires, otherwise you won't be able to transfer the domain away

Yeah I'm not even sure if it's been long enough yet for me to transfer my one GoDaddy domain (I have a few but only one in use) to Namecheap.
