For me, it used to not load at all. Now it doesn't load at all, but I still see the page. It's that quick.
The constantly varying loading speeds were most definitely due to the server hosting us. I'm quite sure that it had little to do with the internet connection speeds of each individual member.
It was a long time for me, at least 20 seconds. So you put a re-direct on the server that .com pointed to?
Yes. We moved the content to the .net domain on a new VPS and imposed a redirect from all .com pages to their respective .net match.
