I just posted a question on vBSEO a little while ago and noticed that it seems to be very quiet on that site. I'm not sure if that's the norm or what since I rarely post there. Even the vB 5 thread is not getting any comments.
From what I've read vB 5 is slated to include a lot of what vBSEO offers. I think vB 4 gave vBSEO a good kick in the pants when CRU's became supported.
^Yea I'm still deciding if I should remove it completely from my site. I think I saw a post regarding a new update (v. 3.6.1) but a tumbleweed partially blocked my view.
I haven't been active on vbseo in years, really right after @Joe Ward I just didn't enjoy the place anymore, it seemed like development had stopped.
I removed it from my site a few weeks ago. I was kind of worried about doing it. But most of my site was reindexed by Google in about 24 hours. I did take about a 20% ding in earnings, but its almost back to normal now. I did get a nice perfornace boost on my server by removing it though.
Yup, I agree, I think it did as well. Well, if you make software for forums, and claim to boast their SEO, then of course, you should be prepared to get nailed once they fully adapt to those scripts. In fact, I never used vBseo because I heard about all the performance issues while running it.
