So I was having a look through some threads and saw a mention that VB now forces you to integrate Adsense with them and take money from what you earn. I wondered what was up with that and if it applied to 3.8.7?
That's only if you enable the integration between VB and Adsense from the ACP menu. Putting Adsense only requires ad-placement template edit. Choose the best place you would like to put it, and go. That's it.
They don't force you, but, there is an option to associate your adsense account with vbulletin. Then instead of editing the ad templates to add your code you can click a button and vbulletin will add them without template edits. It's unclear whether IB gets anything out of it although I find it hard to believe that they don't. IB has never done anything if it didn't benefit them and screw the site owner.

Yup, and I also use "Digital Point position ads", which places an ad randomly in posts or where-ever you select it to do so.
I was running DP's mod on XF. It was cool until I released it put up a footer link. Not cool, I don't mind paying for a branding free version there doesn't seem to be one available.
