Just curious as to why the Today's Featured Member is always a member who has never posted a damn thing? I've yet to see it be a member who's ever had more than one post to their name. Is this a member who's physically selected from the list by the admins or moderators, or is this just some cheesy feature of UBB that's automatic and doesn't serve any real purpose? ------------------ "Qualifications for being a Moderator at Anandtech...? I am pretty sure it is automatic. Everytime you refresh the page, a new member appears, regardless if it is the same day. ------------------ In Hong Kong, he'd be dead.

Yeah, in its present state it doesn't mean much. It's a cool idea though. I don't think Aliensoup has enough members to have a daily feature member. But once this place gets really big it would cool to have a little section describing what that member did, and how he contributes. I also noticed the record number of people online changes. Earlier this month, alien soup had a record of 130+ on at once. ------------------ In Hong Kong, he'd be dead.
Yeah, the record number seems like it's just configured incorrectly, since it seems to reset daily. Not much of a record if it only means that day... Hiyas, Yes, the featured member is random, and part of an inline stats hack. I myself find that a little funny as far as how it's worded, so I might change it to something like "random member of the moment" or remove it altogether and put something else there. We'll see. It's 'on the list'. . As far as that mention of the record # of simultaneous users, it shows the record of the previous day.. Well then I'm gonna keep refreshing until I get to be the one . Then capture the page and put it as my desktop!!!
WoW! The number of people registered here is growing by the hour! When I signed up there was less than 50 people registered and now there are over 500! My chances of becoming a featured member grow less everytime I check this site. One of six hundred? Think I have a chance? I think so.
