i know how to install the forum (upgrade actually) but can sumone walk me thru getting rid of vbadvanced and using the vb suite as my main www.mysite.com page? And then the "Forum" button would take you to www.mysite.com/forum? thanks in advance!!!
To get rid of vbadvanced, you'll need to upload the install file to your admincp (assuming it was removed after the original install) and run that script in your browser. There are 3 radio buttons with selections, select "uninstall". Once that script finishes running, simply remove all the vbadvanced cmps files from your directory. I don't know enough about vb4 to give good direction on your second request. I have it installed on my test server, but haven't explored much.
Are you trying to replicate the cms in the main site (i.e. yourdomain.com) and the forums in a subdirectory (i.e. yourdomain.com/forums)? If so their is some scripts you have to move and modify. Otherwise you use the url rewrite. As to import info from vba to cms, not gonna happen unless you can get someone to write you an import script.
to remove vba you have to upload the vba install file to your admincp and run that path to remove vba. to add vbcms, enable to plugin
