I don't know if I'd post this up if I were you. I've seen quite a few digg users get banned for it.

I hate trying to interpret legal mumble-jumble, with a passion. But, I think this is the violation:

Oh I know it is, but people do it all the time and works for them ;)

x.x Not to be negative and all but that works for them doesn't mean it will work for you. \o.o/

While no lawyer myself I will try to dissect this:

with the intention of artificially inflating or altering the 'digg count'
you cannot post something to digg with the intention of just getting a high digg count/having that be the sole purpose.. aka "be the first digg to get 500000 diggs!!!" or something like that

giving or receiving money or other remuneration in exchange for votes
you cannot pay for the act of "digging"

participating in any other organized effort that in any way artificially alters the results of Digg's services
this is where they can get you with any broad function that they'd like, but it mostly means to have a digg community to do this -- however, digg will not notice this unless it's done several times by the same people

another community that I was on, we paid for somebody to develop a digg script that would randomly choose our secondary accounts and digg and/or comment at random intervals under 10 minutes... I don't know the full inner-workings of it since none of us developed it but it would also rotate accounts so that it wasn't using the same ones over and over, as well as work through a series of IPs and referrer blockers, came in quite handy

not ethical by any means though, but digg is superficial enough as it is
