Must be me! I click on the smiley picture when posting and nothing happens- no legend pops up, nothing. I only can create a smiley if I type in the colon and paratheses myself- I have not been able to get anything cool.

Alien, another smiley issue, so I just continued in this thread. I noticed when you use the word l-o-l-l-i-p-o-p or l-o-l-l-y, you get .lipop or .ly. Actually, I think the UBB code looks for substrings inside of strings as the l-o-l-l-i-p-o-p bug is not the only instance of the smiley problem. Upon further investigation, I have seen the following: -Smilies imbedded within words: e.g. .lipop -name.y the way..... -Mth's action text e.g. :.owls over poss with a hug:: or :.rances about gleefully:: So....I wonder if you can do one of two things? Change the code for smilies so that if they are imbedded in a word, they are not displayed (so the string is parsed and if there are alphanumerics around the string, it is not processed. This one is a bit complicated to implement....but doable. Or, use a smilie tag. such as smilie Just an idea. ------------------ Does driving a car from Saturn make me an alien?
