I would give SMF a 4/5 too. Simple machines is a great, well "simple", as it's name states forum board. I like it because of it's simplicity, power, and managability. Like you said, it does have a nice, variety of features, and it is certainly a big competitor to the forum board market. I have experience running a SMF board, but it gets a bit annoying to deal with, in my opinion. Cheers matthew
