Sloooowwww?

Is it just me or is the site currently loading in an excruciatingly slow manner?

 

No it is not only you. Its very slow for me to.
First i thougt it was because i had many program open but now when I am not the only one its most likly this site.

 

So slow.

I wish we would be able to move AA to the dedicated server but we can't. Ugh...

To the dedicated server? Does that mean you have one? If so why can't you?

I wonder what made it so slow now and not earlier already.

 

We have over ten users online now actively posting, replying, viewing, etc. That's most likely why things are slow.

John, the reason we cannot move servers is because a certain team member has vanished and we haven't heard from him in a while. I think that's as far as we will go in terms of discussing this matter publicly though. PM me if you'd like.

 

Daniel, one of the original admin, has the information we need to be able to move. He's long gone unfortunately and we don't really know what to do.

Yep, it's slow.

 

Turn off Remote YUI under vBulletin Options -> vBulletin Options -> Server Settings & Optimization Options. See if that speeds it up.

 

I am happy to say that the site has sped up a little for me.

 

It's already set to 'None'.

 

Yeah, a handful of members signed off - mostly because of the speed issues.

 

I do and I don't thank them for signing off...

I thank them 'cause the site has sped up, I don't thank them because now we'll lose activity.
