Do you allow guests to view attachments? I used to disable viewing of attachments, but recently made the change to show small thumbnails and require registration to view full-size.
I do the same as you. You can see the thumb but have to sign up and have to have at least a certain amount of posts in some forums to see full size images.
No attachments for guests for us too, if there was a good enough mod out there we would hide all images other than smilies to guests most likely.
I don't allow guest attachment viewing, either, but I may switch to thumbnails only. You know the saying...why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free.
