Reputation points

I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot, but I wanted to know what this is, exactly. I just discovered it by clicking on something under my name.

Same thing.
You can raise or lower someone's reputation by approving or disapproving of their posts.

 

That's correct.. If someone has something particularly funny they said, or helpful or whatever you can give them a quick point... If they're being a complete jackass, you can reduce the points.
