Perhaps under the Community showcase we could have a "Rate My Site" forum for people to post and get feedback from the community about our sites. Crowd-sourced Constructive Criticism.
well.. we have the community showcase which had been used as something like that in the past. There was talk at one point of a "review team" similar to how TAZ is ran, I think @cpvr was talking about it with @Iconic but I think everyone got busy and it may have been looked over.
I took "Community Showcase" as just a place to show off the site, but not specifically geared towards asking for critical feedback. There is a lot of talent on this website, I'm totally for getting another set of eyes to look over my site and see things wrong that I don't see.
For what it's worth, I like the idea and welcome anything to help the forum. Maybe the community showcase area could be renamed or the description should be edited.
My only concern would be people not looking for criticism. There would need to be an accepted method of showing which reason you are posting your site in that forum.
@Brandon I would be happy to help review sites. Though, my knowledge would be better served reviewing the SEO sides of people sites. And I find at times most people do not want to here information like that because they like to think they are doing things right.. But, yeah I would be up for helping
I think this is a great idea and will be used by everyone to help people with there site and get some new features as i believe i would to see what needs improving on my site.
So what needs to be done to get this going? Should we use a team of users, or just allow anyone to rate? We could always go only "Active users" and above with the options to reply to a "site rating" section.
