Postbit Legacy

As much as I love the postbit legacy, the fact that your signature kisses the underside of your post, and there's so much empty space underneath, led me to use this mod.

PULEASE install it here? With all of the extra info in the postbit, there's a ton of dead space beneath the signature.

I just don't like the border it adds around the signature; it's there when the user doesn't even have a signature.

I've posted in the vB.org thread though, so hopefully we can get it resolved. I'm glad you guys like it better.

 

oh you're talking about that line on top of the sig? yeah I don't either.
When you find out how to get rid of it, lemme know. I'm sure it's in the code there somewhere, but I haven't taken the time to look.

Only problem now is, there's nothing at all separating the post from the signature. I mean, no visual separation. Before installing the mod, there was a short ________________________ between the two.

Soooo I typed a

in place of that code, and waa laa!

It was there in two places - I replaced the one closer to all of the signature contents with the underscores like Peggy did, but the horizontal rule is still above the signature.

I logged on just a little while ago and noticed those blue lines. I was wondering to myself if that has always been there or if I'm just going crazy. I didn't even notice the change to the signature position until I came into this thread. :doh:

That's odd. When I changed it in mine, the line went away above the sig.
Take out that line altogether and see what happens.

 

I just removed the entire signature block and the HR is still there. It must be somewhere else.

 

Very odd. I swear Nick, I pasted that diddy that lordtopcat posted into the find box at the bottom of the template, and I removed what was highlighted. It completely disappeared on my forum.

are you sure you're doing the postbit legacy template? or the postbit template?
Hey don't get upset. I've done that before, and I have never used the postbit template. lol

 

I see the problem: the post content and the signature block are two different td's. The end of the post content td border right up next to the top of the signature td border causes it to look thicker and thus like a horizontal rule.

 

Nick just paste this into the find box at the bottom of the postbit legacy template.

Yep. but you still have the line above and below the signature. I thought that's what you were trying to get rid of.

 

The line below the signature is the end of the second td. The line above the signature is a conjunction of the top of the signature td and the bottom of the post content td. The solution is to make the post and the signature all in a single td.
