In the coming week, all PMs on AdminAddict will be deleted. This includes sent PMs, received PMs, and PMs within any custom folders you have created. Once deleted, there will be no way to retrieve these PMs, so we are urging you to download copies of your private messages so that any important information you may have exchanged is not lost. To save a copy of your private messages, go to each folder, select the messages you want to save, scroll down and in the drop-down menu at the bottom, choose to "Download as ..." whatever format you prefer. You will need to do this for each folder you have: Inbox, Sent, and any custom folders. View attachment 610 DOWNLOAD AND SAVE THEM NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE
Yikes! Gotta do this either later tonight or tomorrow because I've got a lot of helpful PMs here at AA. :speechless: Thanks for the warning Nick.
No worries, Arny. We shouldn't be doing the pruning until next weekend, so you all have plenty of time.
An announcement to be made in the near future (sometime near/at the end of next week) will reveal why. Sorry to make you wait. :o
NO! I wasnt in a good mood last night. But anyways, i dont need to backup my pms. Theyre all just crazy.
hmm, I also wonder why you would want to clear out the PM's are you going to downsize our limits Private Messages: Unread 0, Total 3. go ahead and kill em
Darn, I haven't been able to backup all of my PMs yet I'm hoping to have them done by tomorrow night. Any particular time/date Nick?
Whew....just finished going through nearly 200 messages and saved the ones that I wanted and downloaded them Thanks for the warning Nick!
Nick, can we get the time set on this event? I want to send some PMs but want some assurance that the recipient would see them. Could you just do it on a certain time e.g. Sunday November 1, Noon Eastern time? That way all the pre-sale 'stuff' would be over with at vb.com. Timing might be tight.
I typed up a nice long reply to Shelley's post, but my internet is hardly working, and it stopped sometime between me writing my reply, and hitting submit, so it was lost. Long story short: PMs might not have to get deleted afterall. Details will follow when I can get my internet restored properly.
