Is there such a thing, or is this a scandal? Seems like it to me, because the support forums are empty, there's no demos of it, etc. Tell me, phpBB platinum -- is this an official endorsed project, or what?
Just looked at the support forum and apparently the backup routine is still under development (as of Sept 13th) so not yet a variety you would want to use for real in the wide world. Can't say it is a scam but a lot of stuff on their forum looks artificial and test data like so I wouldn't even consider it for another 6 months.
I was thinking the same, Paulh. Seemed very low down to me, and even on the phpBB forums, I saw no mentioning of phpBB Platinum. Weird.
That's because it's a forum for another site. phpBB3 Platinum is found @ phpbb.org The support forums are found @ support.phpbb.net phpbb.net is a phpbb3 free host.
Basically, the support forum they link to there is that for another site (a free phpbb3 host). Yeah, I would download from phpbb.com only.
