How do you pick forum or website named? I have trouble finding a name that sticks, has a unregistered domain, and isn't to cheesy.
I just took over a forum named Gamingforce, but I did move it to another forum which I had the option of chaining the name but I couldn't come up with anything so I just stuck to gamingforce.
From 2004 to 2006, I've changed our name from "The Chillout Zone" to "Be Cool" to "The Moonlit Cafe" to "The Cafe." The first name was from the chatroom I used to run on WinMX, and on PB, we were one of the only boards who had that name. When I left PB, and moved to IF, there were many forums with that name on their service, and so when I did leave PB, I moved to my old test forum on IF, which ,was named "Be Cool" at the time and we stuck with that name temporarily until we could come up with something better. It wasn't a serious name, just a quick one I used to register the forum, since "Test" was already taken. When we closed in 2006 and merged with my brother's forum, we were known as The Cafe. Before that we were named "The Moonlit Cafe" and I got the name "Moonlit" because it was a full moon that night, and I chose Cafe because that was the kind of atmosphere I was going for. Ultimately, we ended up dropping Moonlit, because although it was a nice name in theory, realistically, it just didn't sound right. So we dropped "Moonlit" and changed the name to "The Cafe." THis was the name we stuck with until wqe closed in 2006 and merged with my brother's forum. When I reopened the forum in 2007, I changed the name to the "Twilight Cafe" I came up with Twilight for 3 reasons. 1. It is my favorite time of day. 2. That was the time of day it was when I renamed it. 3. It wasn't a far leap from Moonlit.
