Name.com seems to be a very reputable site, and the support is very reliable.

I especially like their happy hour deal.

    Has anybody used Name.com?

No offense to the site, but I think that is a silly domain. Although, I bet it is hugely popular.

I actually use Namecheap [on two of my three domains] and I think they're excellent.

I use Namecheap but I just started a new joint venture and my partner purchased the domain from Name.com.

I use planetdomain - as i type in what i want and if it isn't available they suggest other names to you - that is how the mystery district was named :D

A friend of mine recently purchased a domain from them and has had a rather excellent experience. It could be worth giving them a shot. ;)

What's the happy hour deal? (I am not sufficiently interested in the site to actually click on it myself yet, plus I'm sure you would love an opportunity to tell me) ;)

How are the domain names "selected"?

Selected domain names? Who selects them? Is it a random thing, or do you have to choose from a list?

    You choose from a list.

Are there ever any good names on the list, or are they names no one would want?

They're pretty good - why don't you have a look for yourself?
