My logo showoff

Im not that good with PS CS4, it took me around 30mins to do so here it is:

I'm quite fond of the second logo - it looks a bit better without the blue "blur" around "JetGaming".

 

Yes, I like v2 better as well.

 

Agreed, v1 has a little too much glow while v2 looks nice.

 

I like v2 but maybe add some form of emphasis without going OTT like in v1

 

I think for the 2nd one to not look obscure (having random reflection) you'd have to sort of fade the bottom of the wizard dude to give him a tiny bit of reflection as well.

 

He's not a wizard... he's an assassin?

And I don't think the dude needs a fade either or reflection, it would look a little too much. The reflection of the words could have been better. I don't like the font either..

I like V2 better.

[JetGaming part] Maybe make the gradient a little lighter

#089cc5 to #00c8ff maybe? and the outline maybe reduce the opacity a bit?

masks are your friend when trying to make a reflection.

And where it says "JetHQ" at the bottom, maybe a Pixelation font? or to make it more simple Trebuchet MS white, perhaps?

 

1. The Outer Glow applied is to heavy and too much around the text. You may want to choose another colour and define the glow with another blending mode.

2. I think this one looks the best. The font looks cleaner though the fade should be heavier at the top and fading as it goes down for a more realistic reflection. Also, if you look closely, the reflection overlaps the characters arm. You should work closely with masking to eliminate these kind of issues.

3. I don't care for the font. It's also overlapping the arm of the character. Again with the reflective text (which looks better) but it should be fading from the top being heavier and the bottom fading into nothing. The text at the bottom looks a little odd with the heavy stroke. Not sure I would have inserted that into the signature/logo.

 

My reactions:

1. Too much blue glow!
2. That font is too plain. Not really suited for a logo in my opinion.
3. That font is too hard to read. Can you find a happy medium?

 

I think I like that one the best, however the font is a bit hard to read now.

 

I guess this is sort of what I was trying to say... but not really.. since I couldn't move freely since I used the replacement tool... x.x
