We have recently gotten a lot of activity. When I took over as admin, we had just over 15,00 posts and around 310 members. I took over on April 17th, and you can see how much it has grown already. The issue with the past owners (after it died) was very little advertising and very little activity from them. Myself on the other hand log in every day, make as many posts as I can, and greet every new members that comes in. Just today we have had I think 7 or 8 new members. I have been really busy today so I have not been as active as I would have liked to be, but I will make up for it tomorrow.
Good to know, yea its normal for a forum to be inactive after someone sells it, and the original owners leave.
Nice forum (from one music forum admin to another ). My only suggestions would be to a) fix the background image so it tiles or stretches across the entire page instead of only being in the top-left, and b) revise/remove the "Do you like x? Then this is the forum for you!" forum descriptions--they aren't really necessary, in my opinion (I know what the Guitar forum is for without having to read the description).
Thanks for your feedback. I have not changed anything that was already there when I took over, just added a couple useful things. As for the background, it is a single image that fills the whole background. I am not sure why it was made like that, but I personally think that it looks rather nice. For the descriptions, I had not really noticed them that much, but I will look into changing them. Thank you for the feedback.
