"I can take any request" = what? Someone wants an mp3, and you get it for them? That can present a problem with the sheriff, partner. . ------------------ ^Alien^ Administrator / Owner ["Everything was true. God was an alien. I basically agree. Let's work on increasing the popularity of the other areas as well... Hell, we're not even up on search engines yet, this is purely word-of-mouth so far. . Actually, a mp3 forum is a great idea! While there is the problem of the majority of mp3s that exist are illegal, but there is a way to prevent any damage from coming to this site. My idea is of a forum where sites are not posted and everything "illegal" goes on through email or some other means of contact where it can't be traced to this site. Only chatter will exist in the forum for those that are looking and giving. Circumvent and anything is possible.
Basically, my philosophy is that talking about it and actually doing it are two different things. Am I wrong to believe in this? (don't respond solely to this, but also include your thoughts about my mp3 forum idea)
Since the binaries can't actually be posted, I find the idea kinda pointless. Discussion for MP3 creation can, I suppose, already be handled in the General Tech forum. JMHO, but I would think that having such a forum where people are openly discussing and organizing trades of possibly illegal mp3s opens this BBS up to a whole lot of legal scrutiny. ------------------ From another BBS: "hmm... Cyrix III, huh? You can put syrup on sh*t, but that don't make it pancakes."
Yea, it seems like a big hassle. How much can you say about mp3s anyway, especially if you aren't offering any. If you want to talk about say....a new artist at mp3.com(since that's perfectly legal) you could do it in the music forum. If you want to ask how to create/edit mp3s (that are legal of course .) you can do general tech. ------------------ http://www.moonsee.com
