Was it hard for you to switch to early get-up? For me it was quite hard to do so as I like sleeping Oh yes - setting alarm to recursively wake you upo is brilliant idea.....in fact Ive set mine up long ago (when I was employed 6yrs ago) and its been on since then.....
I had one job years ago working as a pool attendant at a hotel in which I'd often have to get up at 4:30 am several times per week. That was hard getting used to.
I'm an early riser...this morning was 4a...forcing myself to stay in bed tho, trying to get into a habit of sleeping more than 6 hours. Usual routine consists of a pot of coffee brewed at 7a (try and let the missus sleep in)...prior to and during that, I'm checking my ad networks and forums and monitoring anything that needs to be addressed. If I'm home and the weather cooperates, take the mountain bike out for a ride. Then hit the shop by 10a and attack a few projects there The news is on almost constantly while I'm working. Which reminds me, it's time to ride
It's hard enough to have to get up when you'd rather sleep in. But it's especially tough when you'd rather sleep in on freezing cold morning like we often get during the winter here in Maine.
I am really not a morning person. I generally like to get up around 8am and catch a 9am bus to work. I often get up earlier depending on my day and what meetings are scheduled. I live in NYC and often talk to people in London. I am trying to better define my morning routine -- or at least make it more productive.
Get up around 6.30am quickly check emails and get ready for work, check any sites I need to on the way to work. Working in IT i'm in front of a PC most of the day so it's very easy to keep an eye on things.
I've never been a morning person, especially since it's often so cold while it's six o'clock in the morning. And in the summer, the morning has all that dew.
