I was browsing through the Misc section and I was wondering if it wouldn't be better to have a media subforum for the Misc section to separate the two. Users could discuss Media & Technology via a subforum?
Thanks for the suggestion, Blackout - I agree that bringing a bit more organization to that area may be a viable move. Opinions on this, anyone?
Personally I don't think there is enough traffic to warrant another sub-forum but don't really care if you make one or not. I just use the Unread Posts link on this site. If I see a thread on the first couple of pages that I want to respond to then I do. Anything deeper usually gets ignored due to time constraints.
We are trying to plan some forum restructuring, but that probably won't be very soon. The Miscellaneous forum will probably not get new sub-forum like you suggested though, because it doesn't have enough activity. We really are focusing on the "General Community Discussion" forum because it seems to be the catch-all, so we're trying to determine what subjects and aspects of forum management warrant their own sub-forums. As you can see, "Promotion, Planning, Interest" and "Community Organization" sub-forums have been added, but we're trying to think of additional ones.
I see, I was just curious. I find it a hassle sometimes to have search for some threads I like to reply to.
lol I do the same as Wayne, however can see the benifits of having added subforums, especially if Admin Addict continues to grow as it has been.
