I literally just came to the Misc. forum to post this. Yes indeed the king of pop has died as a result of cardiac arrest. Some sources aren't yet reporting that he is dead, rather that he is in the hospital and further news is expected... but TMZ confirms his death: Michael Jackson Dies | TMZ.com
I was shocked to hear about this. Does anyone have any information on what caused the cardiac arrest?
All jokes aside, Michael Jackson was a tremendous entertainer and singer and has already gone down in history as one of the all-time greats in music history. As far as his personal life and the questionable lifestyle, I'm not sure about that. But, I am sure that he made an impact while he was alive and I hope that he rests in peace
2 Bad this will be some Thriller...I guess MJ just Beat It...some people are asking Can I Go On. Personally, I Blame it on the Boogie that he is Gone Too Soon.
This is pretty big. I think it's kind of awesome it happened on one of the most significant days of my life, lol. (But don't worry about that.)
I was reading about this earlier. They're talking about it on literally every forum I have bookmarked.
Its interesting how this event just occurred and already the internets are buzzing with conspiracies that he faked his death to get out of the limelight. Can't say I have any strong feelings given Jackson's legal issues of the past several years.
Sorry, but nobody is banished from a thread because you don't want to hear what they have to say. If you don't like it, just ignore it. Simple as that. -- Anyways, I agree with Arny. He was a great entertainer, and I was a huge fan; a lot of people were, considering the fact that his upcoming performance(s) were sold out within a matter of tickets going on sale. His personal life and matters don't change how good of a performer he was, and for that, he deserves respect and honor.
I'll say what I said at my own forum: Rest in peace, Michael Jackson, rest in peace... you really did change the world.
Without Michael there would have been no We are the World, without We are the World there would have been no band aid and look at how many people that event helped. In addition to this regardless of what you believe regarding his personal life he will forever be the King of Pop and is by far the best entertainer we have ever seen. RIP Michael - with your death a piece of my childhood has died, after growing up listening to you and watching your unbelievable dance moves you have affected my life in addition to the millions of people around the world that you have touched!
