I feel like running Mac OS on my old intel laptop, But as its not a mac or an intel mac (its a dell vostro 1700) would it work?

No - official versions of Mac OS X can only run on Apple hardware. If you go the illegal route and download hacked versions of Mac OS X, it will be very difficult to actually get it to work on your "old" laptop, since OS X will not come with these drivers (you'll have to rely on the hacking community).

No really some of stuff will not operate properly no matter what you use unless its apples hardware if it was just as simple as you say it is up their you local computer shop would sell the mac parts.

Don't use mac at all but i know a bit about them I really do not think you can do this 100% operational without a true mac.

I use iboot on an older Intel. It works fine.

Ok, I'm very glad you are using it to let him know because me and him thought and i think for certain things you need apples hardware.

They are made the same as pc's now.

Once they started with the intel chips everything changed. :)
