I've seen several forums that conduct interviews of recognizable people in their niche, and post them on their community. I think this is a great way to maintain interest on your forum, and to keep readers happy. What are your thoughts on interviews? Do you have an 'Interviews' section on your forum? If so, how do your members respond to interviews?

One of my moderators came up with the great idea of interviewing Lineolated Parakeet breeders for my Lineolated Parakeet blog. So far she has interviewed and posted two; here is one of them if you're interested: Breeder Interview: Pat Burke - Lineolated Parakeet Breeding & Raising | Lineolated Parakeet (Linnie) Information

I have an interview section. The interviews have been really well received by my members. I only have 3 so far, but have a couple more in the works.

I must say though that with my current redesign, I'm moving the interviews out of the forum and into a wordpress section.

My members and viewers seem to really like my interviews. I have done 3 so far, and have another one to do after the first of the year.

While I was doing my daily swim practice today, an idea just popped into my head about this. I think I'm going to get Michael Phelps to post on my forum :p

Good luck! I hope you can! :)

Yes, I want to have many interviews on my forum with professionals in my niche.

Almost ten years ago I did a phone interview with a designer that worked on Star Trek The Motion Picture and The Wrath of Khan. She discussed many aspects of designing for films and stayed on the phone with me for over an hour!

I wish I had a transcript for it, but my notes and the paper that I wrote based on my interview are long gone. :(

Maybe things have changed, but at the time she had no interest in the internet. :(

Interviews worked great on my forum, but you could definitely see there's more interest in interviews with more well-known people and/or members

I know one admin forum I go on has like all the big boys in the forum world for interviews. They spotlight it on the homepage. As for me, since I am in a different type of niche, we interview our own members to get to know them better.
