Just read you sold it on to TAZ. Wondered if you had after seeing TAZ linking directly back to their saying "sister site" other day when browsing their forums reading. Yeah, it was time. I can't get along with how Howard likes to do things as an admin, and I think I was fooling myself thinking I could make a difference - which was why I agreed to go back last year. I do want to to clarify that it wasn't a recent sale. Back last year (May-ish) when I said I wanted to sell, that's when he bought it but he didn't want anyone to know so I agreed not to say anything, but because I didn't want to lie, I just started to reduce my time on AdX until I stopped visiting completely. I kinda thought people would have figured it out since I was an admin at TAZ, but it seemed they didn't. I also thought when he started posting under the "admin" account on AdX, it would have been a giveaway as well, but I guess not. That's pretty much all I'm going to say on the subject. Just want to move along, put it down as a mistake and experience and forget about it really
YEs, I know the time you mean when that mystery Admin popped up. To be honest, I thought you was messing about doing that at the time to drum up some posts. Obviously you wasn't though now, and realized that when Howard posted on AX yesterday that he's owned AX for a while.
I think there are many admins that would agree with your thoughts on his management style. Congrats on the sale and the free time you may now have.
That whole situation was very awkward for me, because it's not how I do things. I did say that to him at the time, and asked him not to post in the manner he was.. but ... well you were there. I'm just glad I'm away from it now really. My main focus these days is on XenForo, styling it and generally just messing around with it. I do have a forum in progress - still early days, Brandon can attest to that- but it's not an dedicated administration forum (developing an allergy to them ) and I'm considering a specific genre book forum... but.... things are still up in the air on what I want to do at the moment.

Why did he want to remain ANON as new owner for so long? Only now has he posted he is the new owner of AX, but he's waited long enough, must be nearly a year.
Over a year, it was early May last year he bought it out (the day I went back as an Admin on TAZ). As for why - that's something you'd have to ask him, I'm afraid.
That's what I tell them.... usually I'm falling asleep long before they are - especially in the current heat, it's killing me.
I hear that. I get my son in bed by about 8:30 each night and I hop on the computer. I'm pretty happy if I can stay up till 10:30.. I'm getting to old to stay up much later
