Should install something like this: [AJAX] Helpful Answers - Post Rating System (plus many sub-features) - vBulletin.org Forum Can add to the existing reputation and you can provide a page with the most helpful posts.
I just installed it at vBCodex.com and like the implementation aspects of it. Just have to get people to use it. I think it would be a good fit here as well.
Wow, I had never seen this mod before! I didn't read it very thoroughly, but it sure seems like it would be a great way to reward those folks that are really participating and helping others! I'm going to go back later and read it in detail. But, would it replace the "thanks" mod, by the way? I noticed a little thumbs up and a thumbs down in there somewhere.
Arny, I believe it would indeed replace the Post Thanks mod. I like this better - it's much more professional.
Nick, I definitely see this one being a professional looking mod. I'm going to check it out this week as I have a few other things on the to-do list ahead of this one.
Arny, it didn't take long to install - I just did in a matter of three minutes. Okay, does anybody know of a nice thumbs-up/down set? I really don't like the default. Perhaps I should use vB's thumb images?
Wow, I see that! I've already used it actually too. Very sharp and smooth. I agree though, nicer thumbs are needed. How about the ones from the fam fam fam set?
If you look through that thread I think there is actually a nice set if I remember correctly...but the way this day is going...who knows!
I saw these within that thread.... vBulletin.org Forum - View Single Post - [AJAX] Helpful Answers - Post Rating System (plus many sub-features)
Wayne, I chose that I "found your post helpful" (original post in this thread) - but I am wondering if you can see the ratings? I know you can't choose whether it was helpful or not, but do you see that one user has found it helpful? Or do you see nothing?
This mod is very nice. I just wish it added to the user's rep accordingly. Or some kind of similar mod that works in conjunction with the reputation system.
I probably should have read both the vBorg thread and Wayne's post before jumping to the last page in this thread. :o
I'm thrilled that this has been added - I'll end up using it more often than I use the reputation system!
