I've been installing emoticons like crazy and now I'm looking to organize them a little. So I'm wondering if I can place the smiles in order by using "display order?" I'm trying to achieve the same effect you got going here on AA with the smiles...their generally in the same basic order all the time. Thanks Ray
Whichever smilie category you want to show first on your editor set the display order to 1, then 2 and so on and it will order them all for you when you click more or show all smilies I think.
I set the display order of all my smileys to 100. I then order the ones I want to show in the menu and editor from 1-20 so they appear in the list first.
I dont think the vbulletin smilies have permissions but it could be there in the smiley options, I know for certain there is perms for the post icons.
The smiley manager don't have permission options like the post icons have, which is strange, because it's a feature I'm sure many people would have liked.
I go all the way. I have categories up the wazoo, and my smilies are placed into the categories, then placed like (such as category name = sad. Then all frowns go together, all crying goes together... get my drift?). THEN they're put in order by number. for instance if I was the yellow frown to appear before the blue frown, the yellow frownie is #1, the blue is #2, and so on. I'm very detailed when it comes to my smilies.
wow...you go girl  I've just got a lot of big smiles that take up room. So I'm fixing it where their on the drop down or extended smile menu.
I have mine organized in categories like Peg does on Walt Disney Forums On the new site that I'm putting together (Magic Kingdom Forums) I only have one set of smilies so far. I'm currently working on adding lots of Magic Kingdom attraction related avatars. So, once I'm done with those, I'll be able to expand my smiley repertoire!
Thanks! You figure, I have over 300 smilies on my site. I'd hate to have to make people search through those being uncategorized. Imagine if I'd uploaded them all? I have over 600 in my collection.
