Nice to meet you Veronica. I'm not sure exactly what the board is you refer to, but nice to see you pop in here. Have you posted an intro? I need to pop back to take a peek. It's difficult for me to find the time to keep up even in a small new board.
It's nice to meet you too Kathy. The board I refer to is a computer and freeware support forum that Liz, Coathanger and I belong to. I live in central Florida. My hobbies are art, home decorating, gourmet cooking, going to the beach, dining out, music, surfing the net, dancing, fitness and aerobics. Although I don't do most of them very well, LOL.
Veronica, that's interesting that you are in central FL...dh and I may be moving to FL VERY soon...as in the next few weeks!!! He has a job interview in Crystal River on Mon, flies down on Sun! And they are already talking money! So I may be moving to your neck of the woods soon. Liz

Veronica, I grew up in the south....HEAT has nothing on me, neither does humidity..I'm tired of COLD!!!! I'm tired of it being winter 6 blasted months of the year! I wanted a white Christmas, I have had 3 now, I'm ready to move back home to the SOUTH! And hurricanes don't scare me since you do get warning. I use to live in tornado alley...THAT scared me. Liz
I have an uncle in Dewey, AZ so I HAVE visited there. The heat in AZ is hot but it's not the same heat that the South gets. Liz
I lived in Orlando for 6 1/2 years, that's a walk in the park compared to 118 degrees during the summer here in AZ... :wink:
rstones12 (I'm sorry, I don't know how to do the reply thing) I have a sister currently living in Scottsdale who is looking to get out ASAP! LOL! She would have to agree with you about the heat. Her dh is interviewing for a job in San Jose, CA. They've worked in Silicon Valley before and apparently her company also has another plant in that area. I had another sister who lived in Tempe who passed away just two years shy of an early retirement. She had planned to move back to NY. But I also have cousins who have made Phoenix their home when their parents moved there. One loved baseball so much she went to interview for the Diamondbacks baseball organization and has been working for them ever since.

Scottsdale is a great place. Lot's of activities and culture. I usually go on the Art Walk every Thursday in Old Town Scottsdale. Unfortunatley I have not been in the last few weeks. The one great thing about AZ is, you can go snowboarding in the morning and then you can jump in your pool in the afternoon. And it is only a 2 1/2 hour drive between both events.
