Hi everyone! I would like to wish all father's out there and mothers who work as both father and mother in their household, a happy day for them. And if you're not a father, you made your community... so you're a father! : D ^-^ What are you all going to do today? My mom is both father and mother to me, so I am going to cook her break fast and a nutella cake. She will cook dinner in which later on a lot of our family members will come here.
Happy fathers day. This past year has been pretty bad. In September of 2008 my parents got 9 feet of flood waters from hurricane Ike. They lost just about everything they had - expect what they took with them during the evacuation. With the insurance money, they bought a house right around the corner, but several feet higher. We had our first meal there yesterday. I cooked ribs and pork loin on my pit then my wife and I brought everything over to mom and dads new house. My brother dropped by - he is a deputy sheriff for Orange County, Texas - when he was visiting with everyone, he got a phone call. A 10 year old drown at a local lake. So when you have time to spend with your family, do so.
And people wonder why cops are in a bad mood all the time? Its because of stuff like that kid drowning on fathers day, kids getting killed in car wrecks because the parents did not make them wear a seat belt,,,,,,,,,. So when you think your day "just can not get any worse" - remind yourself, yes it can get worse, lots worse.
