Ok Ok :hello:, I've lurked around here enough. I'm thoroughly impressed with the lot of you. The graphics really caught my attention, rather than the content. No really, the content and the attitudes the go along with it is a welcome sight for this nut. I'm definitely not a Saint and don't intend to be one, however strive to be one in terms of online communities/interaction/expression/etc. Little background, because I think it's a little important and somewhat vulnerable to share, right? I manage a vB 3.8.x site for gaming, primarily for Valve's TF2 and L4D games for the last 15 months. I'm still generally considered a newer gamer even if I've been doing it for > 3 years. I don't know who makes those definitions, but in truth you learn something new all the time, not just in gaming. lol I'm also running a family site using Drupal, which is quite amazing, regardless of skill level. My skills are quite basic, but I'm an Engineer by occupation and technical things do not push me off. The real challenge (in both of these arenas) is communicating. It's a real tangible thing to be able to communicate your message, or help others as well, good or bad alike. My registration and participation here is based on the solid vB platform (irrelevant of the new v4 release), my desire to learn from others that have been around the block x times (in terms of admin but also non-admin aspects), to be in the know with the online goings-on as my kids become immediately immersed in it, my desire to educate others from my own experiences, and to enjoy it, which includes the crap parts that can happen. I could list further reasons and I'm sure some of you can add just as easily. Sorry for the long introduction.
Lol, Welcome to AA! I am a newbie gamer too, although I've been playing since I remember, my first games being a huge gameboy with Super Mario bros, snes with Yoshi's Island and a Sony dreamcast with sonic around 1998. I hope you enjoy.

Thanks. I should have clarified a bit with the gaming part. I've also gamed since Atari 2600, or anyone remember the Koleco and Commodore 64????? I still remember our first PC Tandy 1000, I believe it was an 8088XT. The 3 years I spoke of was w.r.t. to online gaming or multiplayer, which then brought me to the online world in general, aside from mere mortal email and viewing webpages.....LOL (crap...did I just date myself? real question is, can anyone top that?)
