Well, I've been using Hostpolar.com for about 2 months now - I was using their shared service at $5/month but I now own a VPS with them, and my community is growing quite nicely so I had to upgrade.

So, do you have any great hosts to share besides my hosting with Hostpolar?

I have changed the thread title to "Great hosts you recommend" as it suit this thread better :)

I recommend HawkHost, I have been with them for 5 months ever since AdminBB opened. Their service and support has been top notch.

Im on the shared server as AdminBB is doing just fine on it, but if it starts having problems I will surely upgrade to VPS. I currently pay for yearly hosting. I always recommend them to people looking for reliable and trustworthy hosting.

Gotta be more specific as to why you recommend them.

Sorry, I never heard of Hawkhost until AdminBB opened and there deals are fantastic for everyone to get deals like this is and would thrash the other competitors...

Justhost is simular to Hawkhost, its fast, stable and never been down since 1 year back on moving with them

I use my friends website, parkenterprises.ltd.uk, although his main webhosting site is down I'm using his other one, habbohosting.co.uk. The uptime is 99% and he offers great support and is a real nice guy. I'd recommend this to anyone. :)

    It's also great packages: (£3/$6 a month)

    Disk Space Usage 44.76 / 15360 MB
    Monthly Bandwidth Transfer 17.76 / 819200 MB

I've used Invision-Hosting (now closed), HostGator, Site5, asmallorange, and LiquidWeb

LiquidWeb and ASO are the only 2 that I strongly recommend. I only remember once when my ASO server slowed down, and my LiquidWeb server has never slowed down. Their support is also phenomenal...Their rates are a little higher compared to others, but you get what you pay for.

Oh yes LiquidWeb, I have heard nothing but good reviews on them. And we all know how trigger happy Hostgator is :P

I used to have a dedicated server with Liquidweb at $210/month dual xeon - I'd also recommend them - they're great, but I would not recommend Hostgator - had too many problems there. But, Liquidweb has managed servers, and excellent support.

I would get VPS from them soon but its a little too expensive.

Sorry but I have to disagree, you can't compare them between the two, because one offers unlimited everything (JustHost), the other does not (HawkHost)

Also from experience, the JustHost support has been absolutely rubbish, and their site is annoying when you visit and try to leave.

HawkHost have always been helpful, and have not tried to pester you to order, or tried to keep you at their site.

Yea JustHost is owned by that big company thats owns thousands of other hosts. Joker has good experience with them as he just runs a website on it, and not a forum as it dosent use much resources.

Ya, LiquidWeb has great phone support too, and I, and others have had bad problems with Hostgator, their support sucks too.

I could imagine.. Hostgator is so big they probably cant manage to give decent support.

Ya, I remember when they were apart of Theplanet(now softlayer). They need to hire more support, or fire the bad ones, and re-group.

That would be the decent thing to do. Hawkhost uses SoftLayer by the way.

The bad support reps are usually the out-sourced ones that have no clue what your problem is, or where you are hosted, etc. they just monitor emails, etc.
