I haven't conducted very many searches, but I did notice a difference in results. When searching for forum admins in Google, AdminAddict is not even on the first page. However, in the Google Caffeine search, we are #5 on the first page.

You're correct, Nick - we are! I'm finding that less "unwanted" results are being produced and more relevant content is being displayed on the first page of results. Impressive.

Very fast and a lot more results. Not bad.

With this new engine, my site moved from page 1 to page 4

But if I tick the "search pages in language" option, my site shows up as the first result on page 1...

I wonder if this engine is offering peronalized results based on your search and browsing history from all the tracking cookies google stuffs down the internets throat.

I think the regular search already does this. I know that it's doing something because I get different results when I'm logged in to my Google account than I do when I'm logged out.

Nice find, Nick...but why is Google not making this their default search engine? This is much better!

Still has Wikipedia as the first link in many results. It should have its own section on the page (over by the Adsense links) or simply have a link "Try this search on Wikipedia". While I have nothing against Wikipedia. If I wanted to search them, I would do so. I don't need links to their articles taking up the first page of results.

Other than that though, this is the first time that Google has produced relevant results for multi-word and phrase searching. Would have to test more before I can rely on their results though.

    Just did some tests

    New Google
    Results 1 - 10 of about 18,700,000 for nintendo forums. (0.19 seconds)
    Results 1 - 10 of about 44,400,000 for admin forums. (0.17 seconds)
    Results 1 - 10 of about 2,510,000 for Billy Mays. (0.24 seconds)

    Old Google
    Results 1 - 10 of about 359,000,000 for nintendo forums. (0.08 seconds)
    Results 1 - 10 of about 72,100,000 for admin forums. (0.39 seconds)
    Results 1 - 10 of about 4,320,000 for Billy Mays. (0.10 seconds)

I think the "new faster caffeine engine" may still need time to crawl and develop

Definately agree with this - it annoys me when trying to find something and wikipedia appears first link on everything i search.
