(Thanks to Razasharp for this entire concept) This is a neat way to share links and promote the forums of other community administrators on your own website. It's fairly simple and has the potential to be very effective. This is not a posting exchange technique. This is how it works:In this thread, you simply post the URL of the website you would like to submit for consideration as well as the number of members that log in to your forum daily. After several of us have submitted our websites you will be able to determine if there are any forums that you are interested in initiating an exchange with. You can reply in the thread or send them a PM letting them know you're interested, and take it from there. What you will each then do is make a post on your own forum's General Chat section mentioning the sites that you are exchanging with. You can exchange shout-outs with one or multiple other forums. Here is an example of what you'd post on your site: So essentially, by exchanging shout-outs, your users will visit the other forums (and promote your site) while other users visit your forum and promote their site. This is a very unique method of promoting your forum in an unusual manner. Let's see how it goes.
Nice one Nick I have two sites who I'm happy to do this exchange with, a photography forum and a console gaming forum - both get around 30 users logging in daily, although they have fluctuated up to 50 as well. Happy to do the exchange with any site with similar daily visitors in any topic that is vaguely connected.
Not sure if I'm doing this right, but I run FightLockdown.com Forum - Powered by vBulletin we are a MMA/Fight discussion/betting site which allows members to publish their articles on the front page, whilst getting rewarded for them. We get roughly 100 people online/day, although we're relatively new (2 months)
That's pretty good - how did you get so many people join so quickly? I'd be happy to do an exchange with ya on my gaming site - but understand if my traffic is not high enough for you (although we do get a lot of traffic from search engines).
We were originally part of another forum, about 50 or so followed over, the rest are people from other communities we got from advertising and word of mouth. We have a pretty damn good reputation (I'd like to think). But yeah, that would be sweet, shoot me a PM mate.
I'm open to doing this as well! Great idea! My site is http://www.waltdisneyboards.com and we have about 45 to 60 daily users logged on. I'd be happy to help with another "family-friendly" board :jacks:
Well, since the first thing that I see when I visit your site is a guy kickin' another guy's teeth out of his head ..... I think maybe not But, I like the topic. My cousin was/is a MMA fighter. Not sure if you've heard of him but he was the lightweight (I think) champion of King of the Cage for awhile. A few years ago he was being signed by UFC, but was hurt in his last match at KotC before going to fight in his first fight in the UFC. His name is Javier "Showtime" Vazquez.
I'd be glad to give this a try on my Linnie forum: Lineolated Parakeet Forum - Linnie Forum Community We average about 50-60 users logging in per day. Today we had 90, which I think is a record-breaker. Let me know if you'd be interested.
If someone has a forum related to computers, SEO, marketing, or similar, I'll be willing to do a shout-out at KH3 Webmaster Community Average is around 50 users per day, however we do also get a lot of guests.
I like this idea, too. My forum is less than 30 days old and is Big Mike Trading Forum -- stocks/day trading, basically. We have about 250 members so far and most all of them log in once per day. Mike
I would like to do the exchange with you Arny. I know mine is a Mom board but its family friendly. The Mom Cafe - Powered by vBulletin 12 Active members and maybe 2 users logged on at a time. I am really in the newbie stage of my site.
My forum is sportsloungecentral.com We average around 70 different members logging in a day. We also have anywhere from 300-500 visits a day.
If you guys are wanting to partner up, I recommend doing so via PM because it seems like a lot of members are posting their info here and then forgetting to come back and respond to requests. Just thought I'd give you that idea so that you all don't miss out.
